Members have access to the club outside the normal bar hours. There are secure lockers available to store your bowls, measures, etc. and jacks, mats, score cards etc. are all readily available, so members can come to the club at any time and practice or enjoy a casual game with friends. Members pay no further fees for use of the green.
The green is open for bowling between April and September each year. Members can play during daylight hours and keys are available to access the club house when the bar is shut, so there is excellent shelter from any adverse weather! 'Full' members can always have a game of snooker instead, if the weather is just too bad.
The club has one team in the Newcastle Midweek League:
If enough members are interested we may run further teams next year.
Every season we also have friendly matches (home and away) against local North Staffordshire and South Cheshire teams
To keep costs down we rely on working parties and individual members to help maintain the green.
